292 Performance

"Output has been integral to our physical performance and rehabilitation environment.”

Ben Rosenblatt
Founder of 292 Performance
“The flexibility of the Output device allows coaches to introduce a wide range of exercises and activities, even those that require minimal technical expertise.”

About 292 Performance:

Ben Rosenblatt has led the physical performance of the England Men's pathway and Senior Men's team through two World Cups (2018, 2022) and one European Championship (2020). Driving Greater Intent with Leaderboards

"We used the Output devices for jump squats, with leaderboards to allow athletes to engage in competition."

Professional athletes thrive on competition, whether through small-sided games or seeing who can jump the highest. With limited time available, it’s not just about what’s included in the programme but how it’s executed. Ben uses Output leaderboards to enhance competition and engagement in his sessions, setting up scenarios like “you vs. me,” “team vs. team,” and “me vs. team” to drive greater intent. Increasing Player Accountability

"The Output system is great because you can record who's done what, and it's really visual for everybody, so there’s a level of accountability."

Accountability is one of Output's core strengths. By visually displaying performance metrics, it creates transparency across a range of exercises, motivating athletes to improve their results. For Ben, this clarity is essential for effective training—each athlete sees their own progress, reinforcing personal responsibility and supporting overall training objectives.

Versatile Tracking Device

"Complex exercises like hopping sequences previously lacked objective measurement. With the Output Sports device, I can quantify these sequences, which not only increases the intensity of effort but also provides objective feedback to the players."

Output’s versatility shines in tracking complex movements like bounds, multi-directional hops, swings, punches, and throws, which were previously difficult to quantify. Immediate feedback on metrics like ground contact time allows athletes to adjust on the spot, ensuring each exercise is precisely tuned to drive the desired adaptation.

Immediate Feedback

"One of the key uses of Output is to provide feedback that helps an athlete adapt their technique within a session."

Real-time feedback enables athletes to adjust technique instantly, making coaching more efficient. For example, contact times appear immediately, allowing athletes to respond by landing with a flatter, stiffer foot to enhance performance. This immediate adjustment makes each training session more impactful, eliminating the need for delayed technique corrections.

Efficiency of Output

"With Output, you could scrub through a squad like that in a few minutes."

Output’s ease of implementation is a major benefit, offering quick data collection across a full squad. Ben highlights its speed, as it enables complete jump testing across the whole squad in less than 10 minutes per station, ensuring that testing doesn’t disrupt training time. With Output, coaches can answer key questions around validity, reliability, and ease of setup—validating it as a fast, effective, and efficient tool for high-performance training environments.
